Early history of Veterinary Services in Province Wellesley Central started in Aston Road which was built in 1918 beside the Recreation Club play ground. This building had only two rooms, one for the Veterinary Inspector and the other for 3-4 staff.

Since 1979, the number of staff increased to 18 and the building was too cramped. At that time it was proposed to put up a new office building near Cherok Tok Kun Agriculture Centre close to Pig Breeding Centre, Bukit Mertajam. The completion of the new building cost RM140,000 was ready for occupation in 1984.
